Solidarity Farming
In a Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA), community members become like partners in the farm. Members pay up-front for a weekly share of the harvest throughout the growing season. This capital enables the farmer to purchase seed and amendments and provides much needed cash flow at the beginning of the season. Your returns come in the form of neatly packed, fresh and clean produce from May to December.
For our CSA program, the farmer will choose the best of what’s coming in. We are seeking to provide uncommonly flavorful and nutritious produce. There will likely be one or two vegetables you are less familiar with and there will definitely be lots of seasonal favorites from week to week.
I will harvest and pack a box to be picked up at one of several convenient locations…or, for those of you near us in the Hethwood/ Foxridge neighborhood, I can deliver your share to your doorstep for an additional $5.
We have been working all year to manage the weeds and establish a productive garden. Now, in our second year of production, we are confident we can deliver the goods each week to a small membership. If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill our end of the bargain during the regular growing season, we will simply extend the offering into the winter months, meaning you would continue to receive a box until we met the value of the share.

Note: We are gradually adding perennial fruit-bearing crops to our garden. In time, we intend to offer more fruit.
Eventually, we are also planning to offer meat and dairy products, bread and other staples…all in good time.

WIthin 2 miles of the Hethwood neighborhood, we will bring your share to your doorstep for a $5 delivery fee.

Maybe the box does not contain enough delicious vegetables for your hunger. Perhaps your favorite seasonal fruit is abundant at this time and it beckons to be canned.
If you wish to add anything to your weekly share, for any reason, simply purchase it through our web-store, we will see your name when we go to fulfill orders and we will add it to your box.
